Description: Rhythm 'n' Strings is a recently formed NYC based group
that features violin and cello in a jazz and creative improvisation
setting. On Oct 15, we'll be playing tunes by composers who have
inspired us to be more innovative and explore the traditions and soul
of American music. They include Mingus, Ellington, Monk, H. Silver,
Benny Golson, Freddie Hubbard and others. A couple tunes have been
arranged with an East Indian concept which we hope to incorporate more
